Mobilized a successful community-wide effort to advocate for an increase in Chapter 70 funding from the Commonwealth, including drafting emails and writing a script for people to use when calling our state-level reps. The result? Gov. Healey just announced a significant increase to Chapter 70 school aid, adding $586 million to her proposed budget. Westwood is slated to receive a much larger increase in Chapter 70 school aid than we previously anticipated. See my remarks here.
